i-Cocoon

The world around is changing everyday, people are changing too. It is your personal experience and experimentation what makes your world a better place, a place made for you and you alone as a first step. It is what you experience in life what makes the energy you need and the batteries you burn to create and interact. The future is happening now, and if you think you've seen it all, or, you've seen enough, here's something that may change your opinion and maybe your life.
The i-Cocoon or Immersive Cocoon is a new design where you can live a virtual experience inside a spherical computer that tracks your movement to create the opportunity to interact with everything around digitally.

Featuring a future concept by design collective NAU, this spec teaser short film reveals an evolution in computing interaction, within a setting inspired by the penultimate scene from Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. Starring that film’s lead actor, Keir Dullea; “2011″ was developed over a two year period. Live action was filmed multi-camera, against green screen atop a backlit plexi floor on a shoestring budget. Mr. Dullea was then integrated into an entirely digitally created CG set rendered at 1080HD. The Immersive Cocoon itself, is not a commercial product. It is a concept study; an idea to push the envelope and provoke a new conception of interface technology.
Imagine a digital experience that is intuitive and holistic, where your interface is not reduced to a mouse click and two-dimensional analog of a writing desk.  A surround display dome complemented by the sophisticated motion-sensing software that inspired the technology depicted in the film Minority Report.  With natural, intuitive movements, your entire body becomes the interface.  Imagine instead of a screen, a visual-audio environment that envelops you.  Recreating the three-dimensional space we perceive in our everyday lives.  Where work and play become more concentrated and enjoyable and allow one to depart on journeys you never thought possible.  This is the promise of the Immersive Cocoon, a concept study for an advanced digital environment. "

The entire concept was developed by NAU

David Beckham bodywear line

This September, a new men fragrance will hit the stores with the name of DB on it. Homme by David Beckham is just the beginning of an entire "gamme" of bodywear and it isn't as you all know the first perfume that holds the star's name: back in 2005 DB launched the "David Beckham Instinct" and one year after the his and hers duo called Intimately Beckham with wife Victoria.
Simon Fuller, David's business partner said that " The next 10 years will see David evolve into being recognized, not just as an iconic sports figure, but also as an important entrepreneur. "
The new logo is designed by " lasdhair Willis, founder of Announcement Creative and husband of designer Stella McCartney. It features the David Beckham name in the Replica Pro font, with a circular hole punched out of the script. The hole is meant to reference both a soccer ball and a lens or viewfinder, which can spotlight a product detail or visual flourish on various marketing materials. " smart design indeed.
And commenting on this project, DB. told WWD "It’s not my natural inclination to see myself as a brand, I’m just a person who has been fortunate to explore other interests and passions outside of the game I love,” said Beckham of his upcoming off-field ventures with Fuller. “I will always be associated with my sport but I am now working across other areas that will continue long after my career has finished."

Best of luck with the new project.

Lady Gaga's first column in V magazine

Gaga on the Cover of  V mag.

New York Magazine published on its fashion blog " The Cut " the first column  Gaga wrote to V mag where she will be writing, yeah Lady Gaga became a columnist in the magazine and will be sharing her thoughts with her "little monsters" about fashion and pop music and other sides of life.
Here's what she wrote:

"Dear Little Monsters:
These are my confessions, my inner most thoughts and most honest beliefs about myself, me The Artist that is Gaga, a statue of which you may bow to on knees and palms as you read this. Cry a little, too, please. I can only share these facets of my most imaginative imaginativeness with you, Little Suckers — I mean, Monsters — because you are part of My Art and fly with me on the wings of the albino unicorn that are taking me on the Journey from a disco ball bra to a firework bra to something else entirely because that HACK KATY PERRY RUINED FUCKING FIREWORKS FOR MEEE.
What? No, I didn't say that. Katy is my sister. Those are YOUR thoughts, melting into mine. Your mind IS my mind. Yes. It is. It.
So, in this story — are you weeping yet? HISS — I will give you one, just one, confession. And if you COMPARE ME TO MADONNA ONE MORE TIME for saying "confession" so much know that it will not scar my creative psyche. But now that you've read enough of my deep, deep, important, fabulous, sparkling thoughts, here is what I am going to tell you: My feet. Are fucking. Killing me."
Talking about the comparison between her song "Born This Way" and Madonna's  "Express Yourself", The Lady said:
" When Yves Saint Laurent designed the “Mondrian” day dress for fashion week Fall/Winter 1965, did he plagiarize or revolutionize? Some people would say he was unoriginal, that he traced an iconic contemporary artwork by Piet Mondrian, and stole it for his own merits. Others may argue that by referencing something so “before its time,” he influenced an entire generation in fashion that transformed the female body with a more linear sensibility, graphics, and painterly shape. We now call it “mod.” Picasso said, “Good artists copy; great artists steal.” … Art gives birth to new art. "

The show was hosted by ABC's Good Morning America and took date few days before she launched her 7th album "Femme Fatale."

Chanel Cruise Collection 2012 and " The Tale of a fairy" film

Karl Lagerfeld took us in a dream trip to "Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc" in Antibes, France, one of the "most beautiful places" on earth as Karl said. "This is the other side of paradise" where "People have never had as much money [here] as they do at the moment, and this is about how to spend your money but spend it in style", words of Karl Himself.
Talking about his designs, while the sun was setting on the French Riviera,  the designer added, "this is the time of day when you can tell real diamonds from fake, and here they are real." Karl believed he " didn't do anything retro" this time and that it has always been his "job to challenge" the usual and this season his latest creation is the "thong footwear"!!!

The show opened in Yellow, the color of sun and flowers, the classic Chanel was there. 74 looks, nothing retro Karl said but nothing new either. "too  much may not be enough" Karl Observed in a collection inspired by "Rita Hayworth" and "Aly Khan". I could see more the Khan in one look "Baptiste Giabiconi" wore but Rita's femininity was missing. Comparing the expensive Chanel Woman to the Chanel Man, there is a difference of level or maybe he paid all his money to buy her some of the Label's garments.
In a show where no black model walked the walk, the best part was the black and white part and still nothing was as impressive as the place itself that re-opened its doors after 4 years of restoration work and  €45 million spent to bring life back to this luxurious French site.

Heavy is the word to describe this collection and the focus was more on the diamond accessories but when i comes to clothes, we got lost between the massive amount of models showing a bit of everything: Jackets, shirts, pants, swimsuits, evening dresses, skirt suit, short dresses, embroidery, lace, silk, tweed... and that mosaic print is just too winterish. I don't know what resort is it, we all know that this line is the one that stays in the shops for the largest period of the season but still I got lost. The last shows Karl Designed for Chanel where my favorite, i could feel something homogeneous in the collections, in this one i got lost, as lost as Karl himself was while designing maybe. Here i ask another question, Who did the styling and why the black shoes with those white dresses? there where i felt that a breath of air is coming my way, those black thong sandals disturbed me.
My favorite peaces where the high waisted pants worn with those feminine shirts, the white dress Natasha Poly wore or the black one with encrusted diamonds on its sleeve that Karolina Kurkova wore with the horrible shoes. Also the floral dress worn by Melissa Tammerjin. There was something mysterious in the second part of the show and the appearance of Kristen McMenamy surrounded by Jake Davies, Mark Vanderloo and Sebastien Jondea was the best part.

Other garments were unexpected in a negative way, the lace dress Sara Blomqvist, the denim waist pants Caroline Brasch Nielsen.

The end of the show witnessed the launching of Karl Lagerfeld longest film to date "The Tale of a fairy": and you can Watch it Here. The Film starring Kristen McMenamy, Amanda Harlech Anna Mouglalis, Freja Beha Erichsen, Bianca Balti, Baptiste Giabiconi, Brad Koening, Jake Davies, Mark Vanderloo, Oriol Elcacho, Sebastien Jondeau, Seth Kuhlmann among other friends of Chanel's house and Karl is a drama about inheritances, ex-wives, parties, casinos and some lesbianism in a sensual scene between Anna Mouglalis and Freja.
