Fall Winter 2011-12 Trend Report

   August didn't start yet but the pre-fall collection already hit the shops. What are the main trends for this winter is a basic question this report will be answering using less words and more photos for each trend.

One main trend this winter would be the Vinil effect, garments with a plasticized look were everywhere on the catwalks.

Emerald Green is one main color this winter. It is one fresh color that you would love to wear in a total look.

Go wild this winter and release the animal in you. Fur, real or fake, all colors is one big trend. Almost on every catwalk and in all lengths real fur will be your second skin this winter.   The Cape is back this winter. Outer garments are worked and reworked this winter. The cape has been reinvented in new shapes and fabrics to go with any look you may adopt. You may also feel like wrapping yourself around with some Plaid "tricot" or fringes details.

 To stay warm this winter, the Parka made a huge come-back with a military touch but also in sophisticated fabric creating a couture parka. Inspired by the great explorer Ernest Shackleton, the parka invaded the catwalks getting more feminine than ever with lots of fur trimming.

 There is no need to say that Black and grey are also a tendency. White as well is one big trend this winter. A trend inspired by the work of the artist Piero Manzoni. Minimal sometimes but you can also take this trend as far as you want.

 If white is too bright for you, you can mix it with black. The yin and yang, the power of black and the angelic white printed garments will be a must have this winter for any kind of occasion. Any kind of print will make it, from digital printing, to graffiti to geometrical to floral, just let it be black and white.

One of the strongest color this season, the shade of Nude beige and Pink, for any look and any garment. Pink was seen on the catwalks on long dresses, jackets, coats, skirts... Just go pink this winter and you'll definitely be "à la mode".

 The Floral Print, a botanical fresh print that went dark for winter. Mary Katrantzou took this print to a new level, making it look 3 dimensional by adding some flower applique to one skirt.

 This winter seems to be very chic and soft. The next trend is the Polka dots. Dots weren't only printed on fabric, designers like Marc Jacobs used some plastic circles to create the dots effect. He was committed till the end to this trend that he covered hats and tights with it. Stella McCartney also used some plastic discs to decorate her clothes.
